Daniel W. McKinnon, DDS

A lifelong resident of the Fox Cities area, Dr. Daniel W. McKinnon was immersed in a lifetime of dentistry with his father, Dr. Donald McKinnon, opening his practice in 1959. Dr. McKinnon’s father, a locally respected dentist in private practice for more than 39 years, provided his son the opportunity to choose his own career path.

After successfully receiving his Bachelor of Science from Marquette University, Dr. McKinnon was accepted into the Marquette University School of Dentistry. He graduated in 1989, then went into private practice in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Dr. McKinnon is a Graduate of the Pankey Institute clinical studies at Level I and II. He also attended advanced courses early in his career, attending Northwestern University School of Dentistry with Periodontal Tissue Management I, II and III from 1990-1993.

In 1994, Dr. McKinnon became an Associate Fellow in the Academy of Implant Dentistry through the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. McKinnon became Invisalign® Certified in 2006, along with the entire staff at McKinnon Dental. Dr. McKinnon is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Society, and a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and Outagamie Dental Society. In 2011, Dr. McKinnon became an Associate Fellow World Clinical Laser Institute member as well. Dr. McKinnon, along with his staff attend dental conventions, keeping abreast of the latest technology available as well as new procedure introductions offered at the Chicago Dental Society Mid-Winter Meetings and the American Dental Association International Conventions. Dr. McKinnon is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.  Also worth mentioning that Dr. McKinnon has received Talk Of The Town and America’s Top Dentist awards from 2011 through 2015.

Dr. McKinnon married in 1993 and is the father of three children. He and his family live along the shores of the Wolf River. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends. McKinnon’s community commitment is evident with volunteering at Tri-County Community Dental Clinic and coaching youth football programs.

Sandee – Practice Development Manager, RDH, BS
Sandee graduated from the University of Wisconsin—Stevens Point in 1985, receiving her Business of Science Degree. She majored in Fashion Design with a minor in Business Administration. Sandee went on to attend Fox Valley Technical College, where she graduated in 1999 with honors, receiving her degree in Dental Hygiene. Sandee then joined McKinnon Dental as a hygienist, where she had already been employed as both a dental assistant and business manager. Sandee is licensed to administer local anesthesia. Along with the entire staff, Sandee is Invisalign® trained.

Sandee is a married, busy mother of three children who enjoys creating a home that welcomes family and friends. Sandee’s giving and philanthropic nature has also called her to support many nonprofit endeavors, even those that include opening the home she’s created for her family to worthy organizations for holiday house walks. Sandee is a PADI certified scuba diver who enjoys being on or around water any time of year and she has a passion for gardening.

Lindsey – Dental Assistant
Lindsey is a 2000 Fox Valley Technical College graduate. She received her diploma in Dental Assisting and soon thereafter joined our dental team. She swiftly learned to assist Dr. McKinnon in many of his advanced techniques and enjoys the challenges that each new case brings to her daily work. Lindsey is Healthcare Provider, CPR and First Aid Certified, and has attended the Invisalign® Continuing Education Coursework.

Lindsey lives in Neenah and enjoys outdoor activities including running, boating, and fishing with her dad. She also enjoys working out and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Lindsey volunteers her time with 4-H.
